  1. Linuxconf is released under the GPL. To promote usage of linuxconf
  2. as much as possible and promote the idea of incorporating support
  3. for third party components, a module concept has been introduced.

  5. It will be possible to produce DLLs which will be loaded at run time
  6. upon request by linuxconf. These modules have access to the full API
  7. and user interface toolkit of linuxconf. Some documentation and
  8. examples are in the making at this point. Those interested in looking
  9. into this may contact me.

  11. Modules can be distributed separatly from the main linuxconf distribution
  12. in source or in binary form using the licensing you wish. Linuxconf
  13. itself is still distributed under the GPL licensing agreement, so all
  14. modification you make to it should be published somehow. Contact me
  15. in any doubt.

  17. I suggest that those who wish to distribute linuxconf's module separatly
  18. from the main distribution contact me so at least I will be able to
  19. inform you in advance of any new release/changes/whatever you may
  20. want to know.
